WebN2 - We describe a case of Mitral atresia associated with a ventricular septal defect (VSD) and hypo plastic left ventricle detected in fetal echocardiography performed in a 27+ weeks of gestation, a primi gravida woman. Deviating from the finding of hypoplastic left heart syndrome the present case had normal aortic root and ascending aorta. Echogenic intracardiac focus (EIF) is a small bright spot seen in the baby's heart on an ultrasound exam. This is thought to represent mineralization, or small deposits of calcium, in the muscle of the heart. EIFs are found in about 3–5% of normal pregnancies and cause no health problems.
