I'm not surprised, my hearing test 4 months ago came out 100% OK, despite having listened to loud music for some time. On a related note, if I sort of defocus my brain, I can make myself "stop hearing" the 18khz and even 17khz tones, because they sort of blend in with my tinnitus.
