Somewhat of a learning curve on temp control but once figured out they are easy enough to control. It won't have many bells and whistles but it doesn't cost $1000+ like some of the fancy pellet grills do. What I’m mainly looking for in a grill is good smoke flavor, quick heat up times, and the ability to sear. Should I get the pro series 850 or look into the sportsman 820 or Austin XL with the older style controller?

In testing the lower (<300*) temps are still quite a bit off (50*+). I’m getting less than 200* actual temp in the barrel at 300 on set temp and display.
